Please note: This is not a sponsored post. I just really felt like nerding out on Effie’s Heart for a week.
What is Effie’s Heart?
Effie’s Heart is one of the best dress brands I’ve come across. I discovered this brand a little over a year ago and have since been obsessed.
Let’s count the reasons why these are awesome dresses:
- The cuts are timeless and unique – flattering on most body types.
- They come out with ridiculously cute new patterns every season.
- They are machine washable….
- AND machine dry-able!
- I have no words to describe the durability…but DAMN!
- I can do anything in these dresses.
- Affordable prices – especially if you shop the sales on their site!
- Most of the dress styles have POCKETS. Are you hearing me? Pockets!
Hmm…that’s a lot of reasons!
A Week-Long Obsession Indulgence
I purchased Effie’s Heart collection mostly from local boutiques and from their website, but you can sometimes find them on ModCloth, as well. When I decided to write this post, I only had four Effie’s Heart dresses, so I splurged at Market Street Shoes, which has a divine selection.
Here’s a photo journey of my supreme geek-session, which began last Friday and ended today!
Friday
Camp Jitterbug started on Friday evening, so this dress worked a full day and then danced all night!
The lemon print for the Dolce Vita dress is an older one. I’m currently drooling over the Parlour Print, which you can pick up at Market Street Shoes in Ballard or from the Effie’s Heart site. Oh yeah, it has pockets!
Shoes (I still maintain that these are the best Lindy Shoes!)
Saturday
This dress had a busy day of scooting, shopping, chores, happy hour, dinner with friends, and a fantastic night of dancing!
This is an older print of the Jeanne dress. It looks like there are some limited sizes in Fall Toile and Maraschino. I hope they continue to make this style! It’s absolutely dreamy for Lindy Hop. Guess what? It also has pockets!
Shoes – Dansko Marlow Heeled Sandal
Sunday
I scooted for over an hour in this dress…all the way to Bothell (for brunch) and back. Then came home to do some house chores, enjoyed a wonderful happy hour with CJ, and then…
you’ll never guess…
…danced until 3am at Century Ballroom for the final late night of Camp Jitterbug!
The tulle peeking out of the dress is super soft! Also…pockets!
Caron Dress (Mine is an older pattern, but I linked you the pattern I’m currently coveting.)safra
Monday
Just a lazy Memorial Day which included a nice walk along the Seattle waterfront and dinner with friends.
Did you notice??? This dress has pockets!
The Louvre Dress / Shoes – Dansko Marlow Heeled Sandal
Tuesday
It was a little chilly on Tuesday. Good thing this dress had sleeves and pockets!
Rachel Dress (The violin pattern is currently on sale!) / Frye Booties (Also on sale!)
Wednesday
Just another day of working…and dancing! (Have y’all noticed a pattern yet?)
Speaking of patterns, yes, this is the same style as my Saturday dress, but with a different print. Hey…if the dress fits…
Shoes – TOMS Classic (Still my favorite flats for Lindy Hop)
Thursday
My final day of uncontrolled obsession! This dress had an “easy” day of working and blogging.
This is the only dress that doesn’t have pockets – but it doesn’t matter because it more than makes up for it in fit and comfort! I sort of wish I could wear this dress every day…
The Theresa Dress / Shoes – Born Lilly Flats
So..Is There A Conclusion?
I already knew all the reasons these dresses rule, so really, I just spent a week reinforcing my well-established opinion. It was definitely fun to challenge myself by only sticking to one brand…and I rather enjoyed looking fabulous and feeling unapologetically comfortable all week!
